Zambales

spent the weekend at zambales with my friends, dr cabanda, and babeth's family. really had fun. this is a different out-of-town weekend because we get to spend it without our betterhalves. hehehe... since, my arnold is not with me, i drove to zambales, and back to manila. i was the official chauffeur. we stayed at the white rock beach resort. it was ok, their accomodation is hotel type and the facilities are ok. their beach is not as good as boracay, though, we don't mind. what's important is i had a good tan. hehehe...

we have observed how dr cabanda felt really comfortable with us. she had opened up some of her personal insights. this is really surprising, since she was our professor/mentor in the graduate school. we were really glad that she considers us as friends and not only as her students. this made us respect her more.

she is well rounded, and very open-minded. she's open to the fact that she doesn't know everything and willing to learn what she needs to learn. she's also very generous in sharing her experiences, professional and personal, most especially her stay in different countries, and knowledge in everything. she's a listener, very eager to learn from us. she's not the typical professor that will intimidate and always trying to impress her students. she shows real concern for her students. she's very humble inspite of all her personal accomplishments. she is indeed a role model.
