been working on my wedding preps lately. here are the updates:
missalette
finally! i have now a complete draft of the missalette for our wedding ceremony. including all the songs to be used. it took me three days. my sheggz shook me to my senses which made me realize that i need to prioritize. the wedding is only 3 and a half months away.
draft copies of the missalette should have reached the mailbox of my coordinator, jeng, for review.
invitation
arnold took a day off work friday last week. we visited print lane for our invites, browsed through the samples, and finally decided on an invitation design. we brought along our invitation and reception card wordings, and our entourage list. we were prepared. since, it was my second visit to print lane, and print lane was like the 3rd invitation supplier, i know pretty much what to ask and how to address my requirements. ms beth was very accomodating, as always. she gave us reasonable rates, i.e. 60 pesos for an invitation. since we are ordering 170 pieces, that's php10.2k, and it's definitely within budget. this made arnold a very happy groom. hehehehe...
church requirements
medyo baligtad yon kwento... heheheh... thursday last week, we visited our lady of mt carmel shrine parish to set a date for the prenuptial seminar, and the requirements. ms colette gladly helped us out on scheduling the things that we need to accomplish before the wedding. from there, we set the dates for the confirmation of my groom, the pre-nuptial seminar, the application of the marriage license, the posting of the marriage banns to our respective parishes, and the submission of the wedding requirements.
bridal gown fitting
on the same thursday, arnold accompanied me to my designer, john abul, for my initial fitting. the gown looks ok, bare, of course. hehehe... the fitting went well, they'll be doing more adjustments. it's quite loose, seems like i am one size smaller. heheheh... john mentioned that he'll be making the top fully beaded. this is a plus for me. then, he'll be adding more bones on the top for support, and since i won't be wearing a bra because i can't find one for backless dresses that will fit my petite bodice (why on earth do they sell american sizes here in the philippines?! asian women are definitely not as big as caucasians! hello?!)
2nd fitting is on the 24th. oh my... sana makita ko na yon ganda nang gown...
arnold's mom is scheduled for her measurements to be taken on the 27th. sana magustuhan nya yon design ni john...
my groom's baptismal certificate
we also visited st joseph parish in aurora blvd friday last week after print lane to request for arnold's baptismal certificate. unfortunately, there are some details in the records that needs correction. so, we'll be doing follow-ups within the week.
